What is Inner Harbor for Women?

We are a dignified transitional living facility for women who have successfully completed a minimum 28 day treatment program for substance abuse.

What services do we offer?

Patients also have access to:

  • Referrals to local qualified therapists to address underlying core issues
  • Massage therapy
  • Medication Management by Licensed Psychiatrist

Do residents work?

Yes, they are required to work or volunteer a minimum of 24 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 and 5:00 p.m., and Monday through Friday beginning the second month of residence at Inner Harbor for Women.

How many women reside at Inner Harbor for Women and how many per room?

We accept a maximum of 10 women in our residence which has 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.

Where is Tequesta , Florida , and what is the area like?

Tequesta is 25 minutes North of Palm Beach International Airport. We are a small coastal community filled with natural amenities. There are beautiful sandy beaches with in 2 minutes of Inner Harbor for Women. Local activities include walking, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba-diving, bird-watching, bike riding (on and off road) We are within a 20 minute drive to City Place in West Palm Beach where there are numerous cultural activities available.

How much time do the residents have to find employment and get settled?

We support residents in finding employment or volunteer work. We provide support in locating employment, interviewing skills, money management and other Life Skills as needed. If a resident is local and has a job that she wishes to return to, we will work with her on maintaining balance and prioritizing recovery.

How long is the program? 

Minimum length of stay is 3 months. Many of our residents choose an extended length of stay for up to 1 year.

What about family members?

We assess each client's circumstances to determine the appropriate level of family contact that is needed. When family members are out of state we conduct conference calls deemed clinically appropriate.
